Acquisition Guide

01

How to acquire?

I invite you to browse my online collections. If a specific piece speaks to you:
Request: Simply click the “Acquire” tab located on the right side of the artwork’s page. This will open a pop-up form for you to submit your interest.
Confirmation: I will get back to you as soon as possible (usually within a few days).
Correspondence: Please check your inbox (including your spam folder) to make sure you get my message. If you don’t hear from me within a week, please feel free to contact me again.

02

Collection & Location

My studio is based in Thessaloniki, Greece. Currently, I exclusively offer personal collection within the city. You can also acquire pieces at exhibitions or events. For the latest updates on exhibitions, I invite you to follow me on Instagram.

As the works are very fragile, shipping is challenging. However, if you are based elsewhere but wish to acquire a piece, please still fill out the request form. I am happy to discuss with you to see if we can find a safe delivery solution.

Care Instructions

Each Kályx piece combines high-fired ceramics with natural plants. While the ceramic base is permanent, the plants are natural and temporary, typically looking their best for 1–2 years.

Placement & Environment
To protect the plant’s color, please keep the piece away from direct sunlight. Also, avoid placing it near heat sources (like heaters) to ensure the parts remain securely attached. Moderate humidity is best.

Cleaning

For the ceramic base, simply wipe with a soft cloth. For the plants, please be gentle. Do not use water or cleaning sprays. You can remove dust by lightly blowing air or using a dry cotton swab.

Longevity & Restoration

Even if the plants fade over time, the ceramic vessel remains a beautiful sculpture to be collected. You are welcome to contact me to discuss replacing the plant parts if needed.

05

The Nature of Handmade

Every piece at Kályx is individually thrown, trimmed, and glazed by hand. Slight nuances in form, size, and glaze finish are to be expected. These variations are the mark of the artist’s hand and ensure that the piece you collect is truly one-of-a-kind.
